Used mechanic in a bottle on my lawnmower & weedeater for tune up this spring. Cleared all smoke, worked like a charm!
OK, I bought MIB with NO expectations! I had a backpack leaf blower that I left some gas in too long, no starting at all, useless for my fall cleanup, plus it has sat all winter (N.Y. winter). I put 2oz. in the tank as prescribed and let it sit overnight. The following morning I added some pre packaged clean fuel, pulled the cord, the unit started up on the 5th pull! Amazing! Nice work you guys, I have already sung your praises to many of my friends. Now on to my weed trimmer . Tom
As an outside salesman for Rotary Corp I had to try and sell Mechanic In A Bottle and Ethinol Shield in my territory. I was skeptical, until one day when I had some samples on my work bench and had to try it for myself. I have an old McLane edger with a B&S 2.5 hp engine on it. For years I have ran it on partial choke to edge my yard, choke to start pull it back to half choke and edge away. I saw a bottle of Mechanic In A Bottle sitting on my bench and decided to pour some in and went about the edging of my yard. The next week when I went to edge, I went through my normal routine of starting my edger, choke then half choke, and it started running rough. I pulled the choke lever all the way open and to my surprise the old B&S was running like new. This stuff works.
I used the product with a 1993 750 nighthawk (4carb set up). Long story short the bike had a continual problem with missing and running rough in certain rpm ranges. Tried everything. Got MIB ran through with little improvement. Then drained carbs and poured undiluted MIB in. Let it set overnight. Drained the carbs It then worked saving me $400.00 at the shop. Later my quad developed the similar issues. MIB worked again only this time I did not have to pour directly into carb. Put it in with about 1/2 gal of gas and ran it until empty. Mechanic in a Bottle worked well and save me lots of money
For a long time I had trouble with ethanol ruining my small engines. But when I tried Ethanol Shield I was impressed! I have saved hundreds of dollars in repairs. Thanks Ethanol Shield!
I had spent nearly all winter without starting up my snow blower. I have a Toro 724 and it's been sitting idle in my garage with a small amount of last years gas in it. I filled it up with some new fuel and wasn't surprised one bit that it didn't run very well. In fact, it would run for a max of 20 seconds and then shut off. I ran to Home Depot, bought a bottle of Mechanic in a Bottle and put some in the fuel tank. I let it sit a couple hours and then went out to fire it up. It started and slowly started running better. I let it run for about a half hour and then cleared my driveway. I have used it twice since and both times it has ran like a champ. This product works!
Purchased your product and was very skeptical, I followed the instruction on the bottle. I drain the fuel tank and carburetor and put 2 ounces in the fuel tank and used the priming bulb to get it into thkke carburetor. I then waited 24 hours and tried to start the snowblower, still didn't start. I waited an additional 24 hours and tried again , with a some perseverance it started. After about 15 minutes of running it through all of the choke positions the snowblower ran better than ever, I highy recommend mechanic in a bottle.
Bought a used 4 cycle snowblower, it started and ran fine until you turned off the choke. When the choke was off the engine would rev up and down(hunt), put on half choke,it ran fine. I decided rather than rebuild the carburetor I would give MIB a try, I put 1 oz in the tank and 10 minutes later the snowblower was running perfect with the choke off. MIB made a believer out of me, great product.
I was having issues with string trimmers and some older mowers not starting due to carbarator issues of the diaphams breaking and corrosion of the fuel jets . Started using Ethanol Shield and and have not had a issue with carbarators since. And the motors start up right away even after sitting fo r several months . Great product fixed my problem with carbs.
I have had alot of success with the mechanic in a bottle and the fuel test swabs. Everytime a tool comes through our doors for repair and it runs on fuel, the first thing I do is grab the test swabs and test the fuel. It really gives me a good starting point for the repair to know if the fuel is good or not. If I have a hart time starting the tool and the fuel is good i reach for the machanic in a bottle. It makes it nice to not have to tear a carb apart everytime. The Machanic in a bottle does save me a lot of time and hassle. The ethanol shield is the tool that I give The customers when they come back to pick up their tools. After I explain to the customer that using this product will keep them from repairing their tools so often. It is a really good selling point for the customer and they really like the ethanol shield.
