EGSA Press Release

Brian Boezi, President and CEO of B3C Fuel Solutions, LLC, was selected as a key panel member on the Diesel Fuel Maintenance Panel at the EGSA Fall Conference 2015. Moderated by Kurt Summers (Load Banks of America), the panel allowed EGSA members to hear from industry peers and knowledge experts about diesel fuel problems and solutions.

Brian’s presentation, “What’s In Your Tank? Fuel Hygiene – Guess or Know?” centered on the importance of fuel hygiene for valuable equipment, particularly generators. According to Brian, “the life of the equipment starts with the fuel” and “fuel hygiene is about understanding the condition of the fuel in the tank.” In his presentation, Brian discussed how and why today’s modern diesel fuels become contaminated, the effects of contamination on the fuel tank and equipment, how you can identify contamination in the tank and equipment, and most importantly, what you can do about it. Brian also presented a case study of a major corporate server farm to demonstrate the concept of fuel hygiene. In the case study, Brian demonstrated, through actual photos, the type of contamination that is typical in generator fuel tanks (and found in all 37 generators at the server farm). He then leveraged this case study to discuss what EGSA members could do to proactively prevent these problems, as well as resolve problems that had already materialized. The panel discussion ended with a question and answer session.

As the leader and chief scientist of B3C Fuel Solutions, Brian has combined his knowledge of engine mechanics and his unique expertise in the field of chemistry to develop products and solutions that resolve modern fuel related issues. Brian’s mission is to ensure the efficient operation of all forms of engine powered equipment through a proactive approach to fuel hygiene. Brian’s expertise on the panel is in resolving and preventing issues with fuel quality plagued by the On-Site Power Industry. With more than 25 years of experience, Brian is also sought by major industry participants to consult about problem discovery and resolution. His results are verified through third party testing, endorsements from major engine manufacturers, as well as customer feedback and testimonials.
